Oxford’s new restaurant opens tomorrow on London Road


Grounded Kitchen on London Road in Headington will have its first day of operation on Wednesday May 11.

The Oxford branch is the brand’s seventh opening and the restaurant will offer dine-in, take-out and delivery.

Bali, which is the franchisee of the Oxford branch, hopes the branch will be popular with the local community.

He said: “We saw the buzz in Leicester about it and we followed the other franchises as they were created.

“It was all about picking the right location and that took us some time, but when we came across Headington it wasn’t easy.

“The vibe is exactly what Grounded Kitchen is, so that’s okay.”

He added: “People we’ve spoken to here have said ‘we don’t have anything like that’.

“We gave out bowls while we were training and the feedback we got was really good.”

The food it will serve is inspired by the flavors of Seoul, with an emphasis on healthy, balanced meals that stems from the Grounded Kitchen mantra “Feel Good Food”.

Some of the dishes Grounded Kitchen will be serving include made-to-order nourishing bowls, SsamBaps and Korean Bao.

The nourishing bowls can be customized so customers can create a meal that suits their dietary needs and tastes.

Nutritious bowls consist of fresh vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, beets, peppers, avocado, edamame, sweet potato, spring onions, Korean kimchi and fresh chilies, on a bed of brown or white rice infused with a range of intense and authentic marinades. .

There are vegetarian and vegan options that range from spicy mushrooms to potato, tofu or tempeh, while meat and fish eaters can choose jumbo prawns, angus beef, wild salmon or chicken.

Grounded Kitchen Oxford will be open Sunday to Wednesday from 11am to 8.30pm and Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 9.30pm.
